I got my first motorcycle in 1974, a 1973 Honda CL350, which infected me with the riding bug. I only had the bike 3 weeks before I wrecked it (drinking and riding don't mix). It was reincarnated as a chopper that I rode for just over a year until I was transferred overseas in 1975 and the riding bug went dormant. Fast forward almost 30 years and the riding bug came out of dormancy by way of a 50cc moped that was given to me by a co-worker. I quickly tired of 30mph, so I took the MSF course and went motorcycle shopping. I bought a brand new 2004 V-Star 650 Silverado, which I rode for 4 years until I was forced to upgrade courtesy of a careless driver who ran into me. In December of 2008 I got my current ride, one of the first 2009 V-Star 950 Tourers to be sold here on the west coast.
I found Star Touring in April of 2007 and Chapter 237 in May of that year. Riding with this great group of people expanded my riding horizons and introduced me to types of riding that I hadn't done before.
I'm married with 2 adult children. I really enjoy riding with the group and have learned a lot in the process.
