Ladies of Star Representative (2009) As the LOS rep for our chapter, it is my goal to always make all women feel as comfortable and welcome as possible, whether they are on their own bike or riding behind. As we women grow in numbers in this sport, it is nice to have the camaraderie and like mindedness of other women riders. It is always exciting to see how we get better all of the time and more confident in our abilities. I ride a 2005 1100 V-Star. I love this bike! It is pretty much stock. It has the usual things that you need to make it comfortable. I have risers to bring the bars back. I have Vance and Hines pipes to set off the alarms on parked cars. I also have what I call blinky tail lights so that people on their cell phones see me stopping.  And that is about it. This is such a good bike as it is that I don’t have to add a lot to it. Why do I ride? I come from a family that rides, so it is a natural progression. My son races out at Willow Springs and he is currently ranked fourth overall. Being a Mom I am always a nervous wreck while he is on the track. I think that by me riding it gives him a little payback, and besides it’s a “chcthng
