Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, I was always around cars and bikes. My first bike was a lawn mower engine scooter which I used to ride on our trips out to Salton Sea. After that I got a used CZ 250 (Not sure of the year) which I used to ride at Indian Dunes back in the early 80’s. After that I took a long break from riding until last year when it came down to buying a second car or a bike. I opted for the bike and purchased a 2002 V-Star 650 Custom.
Once I finished my MSF class and started riding I was hooked on the motorcycle bug again. In October of 2009 I found Star Touring & Riding International and subsequently, Chapter 237. It was so nice to find such a wealth of information and a diverse group of people with the same love of motorcycle riding as myself. After out trip to Las Vegas for the 2009 Star BBQ, and getting to try out various Star bikes there, I realized that I had out grown the 650 and was ready to move up to a bigger bike. So, for my 40
th birthday in May of 2009, I bought a 2006 Roadliner S from a fellow club member. Since then I’ve been riding as much as I can. I love the new bike and can’t imagine anything better for me.
Currently I live in Sunland with my fiancé, my 11yo son, her 3yo daughter and we have one more on the way. If you happen to see me cruising down Foothill feel free to say hi.
